RICE WITH CHIPI CHIPI

  • 3 cups of rice TRADITIONAL -
  • FEDEARROZ
  • 1 kg of desalted chipichipi (also known as criolla clam)
  • 6 cups of water
  • 4 tablespoons of achiotado oil
  • 1 cup of chopped long onion
  • Preparation



  • ½ cup of chopped big onion
  • 2 cups of chopped ripe tomato
  • 2 minced sweet peppers
  • 2 garlic cloves finely minced
  • Salt to taste

In a pot with oil, prepare the stew with the onions, tomato, sweet pepper and garlic. Add the Rice, let it fry a little, add the chipichipi and hot water, cook over medium heat until dry, lower the heat, cover and leave for 15 to 20 more minutes.
