What is Technical Research?

Technical Research is one of the flagship programs of the National Federation of Rice Growers - FNA that is carried out in order to provide all farmers in the country with the necessary tools for the cultivation of rice to advance from a technological point of view, allowing greater profitability according to the conditions of the different producing regions of the country.

TECHNICAL RESEARCH PROGRAM

Under the Technical research program, projects that are necessary to meet the proposed objectives are permanently developed for the benefit of all rice producers without exception. Approaches such as Plant Breeding, the agronomic management of the crop that includes research in physiology, irrigation, nutrition and soil are the basis for the development of technologies and knowledge put at the service of the farmer.

CLIMATE CHANGE AND PHYTOSANITY

The National Federation of Rice Growers - Fedearroz-FNA has a service for the cultivation of rice integrated into a platform with climate information from 53 meteorological stations that report in real time the climatic conditions of the rice growing areas, reporting data on temperature, humidity, speed and wind direction, solar radiation, atmospheric pressure and precipitation.

To date, agreements have been signed with 33 national and 35 international institutions, which have made it possible to potentiate human resources, infrastructure and knowledge towards a common goal to generate technology that helps the institutions involved to achieve the proposed objectives.
