Women farmers from Córdoba know rice cooking alternatives

The rice producers of the Chiquí village in San Bernardo del Viento joined the campaign "Let's eat more rice." In the activity called "Cultural gastronomic tradition of Córdoba", the cultivating women prepared various recipes as alternatives for cooking the grain, among which were coconut rice, spinach, eggplant, beans, vegetables and shrimp, accompanied of vegetables and proteins.

The workshop was part of the joint work between FAO and Fedearroz under the project "Territorial Transformation, Resilience and Sustainability for rice farmers", through which correct practices are taught to grow rice with the support of FAO.
